Usage areas
Sios epoxy shop primer Epoxy Shop Primer can be easily applied to all sheet metal surfaces. It has been formulated for use as a shopprimer, especially in manufacturing workshops where automatic or manual grit blasting is performed.
Surface Quality and Surface Preparation
In order for the Epoxy Shop Primer system to show the expected success, the surface preparation to be made is as important as the application itself. All kinds of moisture, chloride, sulphate salts, rust, mill scale on metal surfaces must be removed from the surface by grit spraying method at Sa 2 degree according to Swedish Standard SIS 05 5900 or by mechanical method in St 2 standard. In addition, dust, dirt, oil and grease on metal surfaces should be cleaned with cleaning agents and / or high pressure water jet. Welding splashes and sharp corners of surfaces should be ground. After different cleaning processes, the surface should be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, clean and dry air or a clean brush. After the said processes, there should be a slight metal shine on the surface and after this process, it should be applied to the surface preferably immediately, and within 2 hours at the latest.
Method of Application
After opening the package of Epoxy Shop Primer, it is homogenized by mixing it thoroughly with a drill motor and mixed with Epoxy Shop Primer B Component in the specified ratio. The mixture made gives the application viscosity. If necessary, 5% Epoxy Thinner can be added. (In spraying applications, the application viscosity should be adjusted to be 17 ”- 19” / DC4 / 20 ° C.) It is recommended that the mixture prepared from Epoxy Shop Primer should be applied in a single layer with a maximum dry film thickness of 15-20 μm on the surface. .
Consumption
The total theoretical consumption is 0.10 -0.25 kg / m2.

Shelf life
It can be stored for a maximum of 12 months in closed areas at temperatures between + 5C and + 25C in its unopened original package. Opened material should be used as soon as possible.
Security Alert
During the application, no smoking and work should be done away from naked flames in well-ventilated areas. Hands and eyes should be protected with gloves and protective glasses. In case of material contact with eyes, eyes should be washed with plenty of water. Adequate ventilation is required during application. Ask your dealer for Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
